PUBLIC STATEMENT: LT. GOVERNOR MOLLY GRAY ON RACIAL EPITHETS USED IN SENATE COMMITTEE MEETING
Montpelier, Vt. — “This morning, it was brought to my attention that an individual attending a Senate Committee on Transportation meeting via Zoom on February 3rd used racial epithets during a break in testimony.
It has since been communicated to my office that the individual’s employment was promptly terminated, a decision I support.
This behavior has no place in Vermont, and I stand with state leadership in condemning this incident and calling for accountability.”
