Ranked Choice Voting

15 April 2019

Latest Digital Town Hall conversation focuses on Ranked Choice Voting (RCV). My guests are Kyle Bailey, a lead orgaizer of Maine's recent RCV law, and Rep.Laura Sibilia, one of the lead sponsors of H.444 a tripartisan RCV bill that has been introduced in Vermont. Lt. Governor David Zuckerman supports RCV because it eliminates vote-splitting between like-minded candidates and voters in races with more than two candidates, which are common in Vermont. It also strengthens our democracy by allowing voters to vote their hopes, and not their fears. The Lt. Governor is interested in your thoughts on RCV, what you learned from this episode, and any questions you still have. Please contact the Lt. Governor's Office at 802-828-2666 for any questions about the town hall.
