March 23, 2011 -- Lt. Governor Phil Scott today encouraged Vermonters to participate in a series of upcoming public hearings on health care reform.
The hearings are being held by the Senate Health and Welfare Committee, as part of their scheduled consideration of the single-payer health care proposal. The first public hearing is scheduled for tomorrow night (Thursday, March 24).
March 18, 2011 -- While working at AllEarth Renewables yesterday afternoon, Lt. Governor Phil Scott assembled a solar tracker that will eventually become part of the largest solar installation in Vermont.
March 15, 2011 -- On Thursday afternoon, Lt. Governor Phil Scott will assemble a solar tracker at the AllEarth Renewables manufacturing facility in Williston, then help install it at the new 2.2 MW solar installation in South Burlington, scheduled to be completed this summer.
March 14, 2011 -- Lt. Governor Phil Scott can now add "ski lift ticket checker" to his resume after working at Stowe Mountain Resort yesterday morning as part of his "Vermont Everyday Jobs" initiative.
March 11, 2011 -- On Sunday morning, Lt. Governor Scott will welcome skiers and snowboarders to Stowe Mountain Resort, checking tickets and loading lifts. The visit is part of the Lt. Governor's "Vermont Everyday Jobs" initiative, where he works in different facilities, offices, factories and farms around the state.
March 11, 2011 -- Lt. Governor Phil Scott reminded Vermonters that the public hearing on H.202/S.57, the health care reform proposal, is scheduled for this coming Monday evening (March 14). The hearing was originally scheduled for Monday, March 7, but was rescheduled because of the snowstorm.
March 7, 2011 -- Lt. Governor Phil Scott has postponed today’s “Everyday Jobs” visit to Stowe Mountain Resort.
Scott, who is acting Governor today while Governor Shumlin is out of state, determined that he needed to be on call to attend to weather-related issues as they may arise.

January 19, 2011 -- In reponse to Dr. William Hsiao's draft health care reform proposal presented to the Legislature today, Lt. Governor Phil Scott asked several questions and invited Vermonters to do the same. Hoping for future conversation on this important issue, Lt. Governor Scott released the following statement:
January 18, 2011 -- After a brief training session, Lt. Governor Scott will punch in at Barre's Vermont Quick Lube this Thursday afternoon, for the first job on his "Vermont Dirty Jobs" initiative. He will perform all duties of this locally-owned oil change business: greeting customers, changing oil, checking fluids, and cleaning vehicles.
January 6, 2011 -- Phil Scott was sworn in this morning as Vermont’s 79th Lieutenant Governor. In his remarks to members of the Senate, distinguished guests, and the state of Vermont after taking the oath, Lt. Governor Scott focused on a theme of “open doors.”
