Lt. Governor Brian Dubie and his family will be joined by South Carolina Lt. Governor Andre Bauer on Saturday at the Diana Golden Race at Sugarbush.

Bauer is in Vermont for a long weekend ski vacation.

“When I first thought about heading north to do some skiing, one person came to mind: my friend Brian Dubie.” The two lieutenant governors have become friends through the National Lieutenant Governors’ Association. Bauer called Dubie to help with arrangements for his visit.

When Lt. Governor Dubie’s daughter Emily volunteered to assist on the course as a member of the Essex High School Ski Team, the Dubie family elected to go as a family. Bauer, who is active with Special Olympics in his home state, was eager to join in.

They will be helping on the course during the morning.

Dubie and Bauer will be present for lunch from 11:30 – 12:30 at the lodge.

They will also be on hand to assist in the awards presentation at Mount Ellen Base Area at 12:30.
