Lt. Gov. Phil Scott names new Chief of Staff
July 29, 2013 – Lt. Governor Phil Scott announced today that Rachel Feldman is joining his office as Chief of Staff on Aug. 12, 2013. Feldman will replace current Chief of Staff Nancy Driscoll, who is leaving Scott’s office to become Chief Marketing Officer for the state.
Feldman brings a diverse background to the lt. governor’s office. She currently serves as the Web and Communications Manager at the Vermont Arts Council, a position she has held since 2012, when she returned from a year-long fellowship teaching English in Israel. Prior to that, Feldman spent five years working in Vermont journalism as a reporter and copy editor at The Barre-Montpelier Times Argus and as a producer and reporter at WCAX-TV.
“I look forward to welcoming Rachel to our team,” Phil Scott said. “Nancy will be greatly missed, but I have every confidence that Rachel will be able to serve Vermonters with the high level of dedication they've become accustomed to from our office. With her abundance of energy and unique background, Rachel brings a lot to the table.”
Feldman says she is excited and honored to have the opportunity to work with the lt. governor. “There’s a unique energy when Vermonters talk about Phil Scott. I think they really sense how much he cares about Vermont and that he is in office to help them,” she said. “As someone who is proud to call Vermont home, I can’t think of a better way to serve the state that I love.”
Feldman will become the primary point of contact for Lt. Governor Scott on August 12 and the public can contact her at Rachel.firstname.lastname@example.org.
