Visit Vermont

The scale is small and intimate here. From the "larger" cities of Burlington and Brattleboro, to tiny villages like Warren and Peacham, Vermont's towns are comfortable places where neighbors wave from the porch and most of the businesses are locally owned. As you travel, you'll find wonderful local restaurants, shops, inns and attractions in St. Johnsbury, Newport and St. Albans. Places like Barre, Bennington, Lyndonville, Rutland, Middlebury and Bellows Falls are treasure troves of 19th and even 18th century architecture. And Vermont is full of picture perfect New England villages - with Woodstock, Grafton and Newfane being just a few. Vermont's lifestyle is hard to match. In summer, you'll frequently run across a farmer's market, an artist's open house and a community music festival within a few miles of each other. And an endless array of small, independently owned stores makes shopping and antiquing year-round pastimes. But don't let Vermont's rural character mislead you - the hills are very much alive with a vibrant and quite sophisticated cultural scene. On virtually any weekend, you can choose from a wide selection of concerts, plays, and other arts events, often presented in an historic theater or opera house. Give us a call. Our phone number is toll free at 1-800-Vermont. (1-800-837-6668)
